everybody knows somebody that knows somebody that knows something about them. . .*
    hey dolls :)

i just got back from eating dinner & i am watching the real world: philadelphia. the guy who attended vanderbilt [ he is from nashville, tennessee ] misaccurately represents tennessee so much. vanderbilt is a prestigious university that is incredibly open-minded. not every person from the south is ignorant & actually, nashville is quite opposite from what most people imagine. it is just like any other large city. do not let MJ make you think all people from tennessee have never met a black or gay person before. that is completely UNTRUE!

i have had dance practice ALL weekend and campus was fairly dead since the football game was at UGA. we won though :) my fall break is thursday & friday. i have to work until 6:00 on wednesday, so i will not be home until wednesday night. thursday is total beautification day: hair, nails, eyebrows, tan, etc. school will be out & so will i - every night. i am so psyched about getting to see my friends from home :)

    . . . anyways, gotta take a shower & studddy. hope everyone is great - i <3 u! :) GOD BLESS *

    i choose. . .

    I CHOOSE LOVE -

    No occasion justifies hatred;
no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love.
Today I will love God and what God loves.

    I CHOOSE JOY -

I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance.
I will refuse the temptation to be cynical…
the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse to see
people as anything less than human beings,
created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as
anything less than an opportunity to see God.

    I CHOOSE PEACE -

I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

    I CHOOSE PATIENCE -

I will overlook the inconveniences of the world.
Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I'll
invite him to do so. Rather than complain that the
wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment
to pray. Instead of clenching my fist at new
assignments, I will face them with joy and courage.

    I CHOOSE KINDNESS -

I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone.
I will be kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to
the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.

    I CHOOSE GOODNESS -

I will go without a dollar
before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked
before I will boast. I will confess before I will
    accuse. I choose goodness.

    .I CHOOSE FAITHFULNESS -

Today I will keep my promises.
My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates
will not question my word. My husband will not
question my love. And my children will never fear
that their mother will not come home.

    I CHOOSE GENTLENESS -

Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle.
If I raise my voice, may it be only in praise.
If I clench my fist, may it only be in prayer.
If I make a demand, may it only be of myself.

After this body is dead, my spirit will soar.
I refuse to let what will rot rule the eternal.
I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy.
I will be impassioned only by my faith.
I will be influenced only by God.
I will be taught only by Christ.
I choose self-control.Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
    faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
To these I commit my day.
If I succeed, I will give thanks.
If I fail, I will seek His grace.
And then, when this day is done,
I will place my head on my pillow
    and rest.

I will rush to rest at your feet, Lord Jesus.
It is there that I can find completeness.
I will race to wait upon you and learn to seek you first.
In everything that I do, I will rush to rest at your feet Lord Jesus.
There is no place I'd rather be than kneeling down before my Holy King.
In your presence there is perfect peace.

la, la, la, la. . .*
she put him out like the burning end of a midnight cigarette.
she broke his heart, he spent his whole life trying to forget.
we watched him drink away his pain a little at a time.
but he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind.

until the night he put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger.
and finally drank away her memory.
life is short, but this time it was bigger than the strength it took to get up off his knees.
we found him with his face down in the pillow
with a note that said, "i'll love her til i die."
and when we buried him beneath the willow, the angels sang a whiskey lullaby.

the rumors flew but nobody knew how much she blamed herself.
for years and years she tried to hide the whiskey on her breath.
she finally drank away the pain a little at a time.
but she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind.

until the night she put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger.
and finally drank away her memory.
life is short, but this time it was bigger than the strength it took to get up off her knees.
we found her with her face down in the pillow
clinging to his picture for dear life.
we laid her next to him beneath the willow and the angels sang a whiskey lullaby.

    Mother Teresa [1910 - 1997] Quotes -

"People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway. If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies; succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; give the world the best you've got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway." --Mother Teresa

    "Jesus is everything."--Mother Teresa

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them."--Mother Teresa

"I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world." --Mother Teresa

"I have come to realize more and more that the greatest disease and the greatest suffering is to be unwanted, unloved, uncared for, to be shunned by everybody, to be just nobody [to no one]."--Mother Teresa

"All things pass... Patience attains all it strives for."--Mother Teresa

"Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush; anxious for greater developments and greater wishes and so on; so that children have very little time for their parents; Parents have very little time for each other; and the home begins the disruption of the peace of the world."--Mother Teresa

"I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love."--Mother Teresa

"Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand." --Mother Teresa

"Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you."--Mother Teresa

"It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving."--Mother Teresa
